Thanks to Prattville Baptist Hospital, an abundance of specialty-care providers and a trio of urgent-care clinics, the region’s residents enjoy convenient access to high-quality medical care.

Baptist Health

Prattville Baptist Hospital, an acute-care, 85-bed community hospital on South Memorial Drive, has served Autauga and Elmore counties since two local physicians founded it in 1952. In the six-plus decades since, PBH has grown to offer the latest in medical technology and a wide range of services, including general medical and surgical, a 24-hour emergency room, cardiopulmonary treatment and a dialysis center. The hospital’s radiology department provides inpatient and outpatient imaging services, including magnetic-resonance imaging (MRI) and a CT scanner. Its Sleep Disorders Center can diagnose up to 84 different conditions.  

Patients seeking speech, occupational and physical therapies and audiology services can visit the hospital’s Center for Advanced Therapy for interdisciplinary care provided by an experienced team of therapists and a Doctor of Audiology. While the center treats patients of all ages, its focus is on children with special needs, such as those with Down syndrome, autism or sensory-integration disorder.

Specialty Health Care

The Prattville and Autauga County area has a number of specialty health-care facilities. Residents who seek medical treatment for more specific health-care needs will find specialists who treat various conditions. Oncology patients are close to Montgomery Cancer Center, which provides quality treatment and medical care services for cancer patients. Prattville is also home to Mora Surgical Clinic, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates, Southern Orthopaedic Surgeons and OB-GYN Associates of Montgomery, which has a local office in Prattville.

Lemak Sports Medicine & Orthopedics provides orthopedic and sports medicine services; Drayer Physical Therapy Institute is located in the same building. Local dental offices include those of Dr. Leigh Ann Nevins, Autauga Station Dental and Prattville Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics. Vision care is provided by Eyecare Plus, Fountain City EyecareMontgomery Eye Physicians-Prattville and Eyecare Associates.

Urgent Care and Walk-in Clinics

Prattville residents who need urgent and basic medical care have access to walk-in clinics and urgent care providers. Autaugaville Family Health is a community health center, providing a variety of health-care services that include diagnostic testing, family planning, dental care, primary care, social services and more. Prattville Primary Care also provides medical care in the Autauga County area, specializing in family medicine and primary health-care services. 

AFC PriMed, a partnership between Baptist PriMed and American Family Care (the nation’s second-largest privately owned urgent-care operator), has a facility on Cobbs Ford Road. The Jackson Clinic, which operates an extended-hours family medicine clinic in Montgomery, also has a branch in Prattville where Dr. Jade Hoy (board-certified in family medicine) assumed the practice of Dr. Charles Cloutier.
