City School District of Albany

The City School District of Albany includes 12 elementary schools, three middle schools and three high schools.

University at Albany – State University of New York (SUNY)

The University at Albany – SUNY, recognized as a public research institution, educates approximately 18,000 graduate and undergraduate students each year. Students may choose from 125 undergraduate majors and minors, as well as more than 120 graduate programs.

The College of Saint Rose

A private, independent college, the College of Saint Rose offers a liberal education curriculum and works to serve traditional students as well as working professionals. Undergraduate, graduate and continuing education programs are available.

Sage College of Albany

The Sage College of Albany set on 15 acres in the University Haunts neighborhood of Albany and offers four-year degrees as well as Sage After Work, a degree-completion program for working individuals.

Maria College

Maria College, a private institution, offers a baccalaureate degree in nursing as well as associate degrees in a variety of areas such as accounting, early childhood education, management and occupational therapy. The college was founded by the Sisters of Mercy who continue to sponsor the school.

Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences

Focusing on helping students succeed in a variety of health-related fields, Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences offers a Doctor of Pharmacy program, four-year bachelor's degrees Pharmaceutical Sciences, Health and Human Sciences and Biomedical Technology and a certificate program in Cytotechnology.

Albany Law School

The oldest independent law school in North America, Albany Law School offers J.D. and LL.M degrees, 14 concentrations and multiple joint degrees through certain schools in and around New York City.
