With a growing economy, Hot Springs has a lot to offer residents. Tourism and construction account for much of the city’s industry, while corporate headquarters can be found in nearby Little Rock.

Industries

Due to the ever-growing economy of Hot Springs and its success as a tourist destination, retail trade accounts for 17 percent of the city’s industry, while construction is 14 percent, and accommodations and food services are 11 percent. Manufacturing and health care are 10 percent and 7 percent, respectively. The area's hospitals are also the top employers.

Arkansas Companies

Little Rock, just an hour outside of Hot Springs, is home to corporate headquarters of companies such as Alltel and Dillards.

Transportation

Hot Springs Intracity Transit Public Bus System provides reliable transportation around the city. Buses stop once every hour, and fare is $1.25 one way. The average Hot Springs resident has a commute of about 10 minutes, and the nearest commercial airport is the Little Rock National Airport, roughly one hour from Hot Springs.
