Randelman Lake Makes a Splash in Asheboro, NC
Opened for recreational opportunities in March 2010, Randleman Lake was created in 2004 with the construction of the Randleman Lake Dam to serve the greater Greensboro Area by providing a new water supply.
The lake, which is located on the Deep River in both Randolph and Guilford counties, is now open to the public for activities such as fishing, boating, sailing, paddleboating and picnicking. As the lake's primary purpose is to provide drinking water, personal watercrafts such as Jet Skis and WaveRunners are not permitted, and no boats with gasoline or liquid-fueled motors are allowed on the water.
