Set among Asheboro’s Uwharie Mountains, Zimmerman Vineyards provides visitors with a unique vineyard experience. The first commercial vineyard in Randolph County, Zimmerman Vineyards opened its doors to the public in 2007.

This family-owned business offers affordable wine tastings on Saturdays and Sundays, during which visitors can try five different wines and receive a souvenir glass for $5. Wine lovers can even receive discounts on wine cases at the vineyard. While Zimmerman’s collection of white and red wines are produced off-site, only the vineyard’s high-quality grapes are used to craft these special beverages.

Live music is featured at the vineyard on the last Saturday of every month from June through September. During this popular event, visitors can enjoy a picnic dinner on the grounds with extended operating hours and free admission.

With its scenic atmosphere, Zimmerman Vineyards is a favorite spot for private special events. The vineyard’s terrace is available for rent for up to 60 guests to celebrate special occasions like weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays.

Zimmerman Vineyards is open from March through December on the weekends, from 12-6 p.m. on Saturdays and 1-6 p.m. on Sundays. Appointments for visits to the vineyard can be made during January and February.
