Bedford becomes Center of Attention

Each fall, more than 10,000 people gather in downtown Bedford for a party called CenterFest.

The largest annual festival in Bedford County, it features food vendors, artists, live music and activities for kids. The community event was established in 1982 and occurs on the fourth Saturday in September. CenterFest is one of the region's largest street festivals. Artisans and craftspeople from around the state display their works just like market fairs of years past. Live music occurs throughout the day on four stages. Children's activities abound, and local organizations share useful information with visitors. An eclectic assortment of foods is sure to satisfy everyone's taste buds. Featuring an Art Show,Safety Fair, Car Show and a Motorcycle Show. Admission during the day is free.
