If you came here via the home page, hopefully you noticed something new and exciting. As of yesterday, Livability.com has launched its new magazine content. Each weekday we’ll be posting a new original feature showcasing the best news from America’s small to mid-sized towns. This month we’ll be virtually visiting many of our Top 100 Best Places to Live as well as other cities from the U.S. We’ll be writing about affordable housing, programs that are helping high schoolers prepare to become successful workers in their cities and disco balls.
Everything will tie back to our livability principles – the factors that make a city or town a great place to live, from arts and culture to business and health care. They might help you choose a great place to relocate to. They might offer up some good ideas and success stories from other cities that you can adapt in your own community. We will tackle serious subjects, but we’re going to have some fun, too.
Some topics you’ll see, like “Reasons to Move to…” or “Made in…”, which highlights a store selling local goods from a specific community, will become regular monthly features. We have a great team of writers throughout the U.S. who will be contributing to both the recurring content and the other stories. But we want to hear from you. Is there something great going on in your community that makes it a better place to live? Do you know of a Livability Leader who’s working to make a difference – large or small – within your town? We want to hear about it.
Help us tell your stories.
If you have ideas, feedback, questions or comments, please let me know.
On behalf of the entire Livability team, we look forward to hearing from you and sharing compelling stories with you.
