Alabama Theatre

Birmingham’s cherished Alabama Theatre has been a part of the city’s landscape since 1927. A popular place for school field trips, this tour guides visitors through all of the steps of making some of the country’s favorite snack foods. Shopping Attractions

Birmingham is home to several specialty shops, which are an attraction unto themselves. The Peanut Depot, located on historic Morris Avenue, has been roasting peanuts for more than a century. The establishment uses antique roasters, which gives visitors a window into this Birmingham institution’s past.

Reed Books and the Museum of Fond Memories are the work of author Jim Reed. Reed, a columnist and humorist, has amassed an impressive collection of books, old and new, making it a stop for all of Birmingham’s book lovers.
