The Markham Regional Arboretum Society began in 1981 with a small group of people who loved gardens‚ and those dedicated plant lovers have turned 16 acres of land in Concord into a thriving arboretum. Future plans call for the addition of a rose garden‚ gazebo‚ herb garden and international garden.

Visitors can stroll the paths at the arboretum‚ located at the south end of La Vista Avenue. The public can also purchase flowers and plants‚ including unusual varieties such as goldfish plants‚ dwarf papyrus‚ fountain butterfly bushes and shining tea trees.
