Castle Rock is home many diverse businesses, ranging from retail to manufacturing and everything in between. With its beautiful setting and convenient location not far from either Denver or Colorado Springs, it's easy to see why businesses and workers are attracted to the area.

With more than 100 stores, the Outlets of Castle Rock is a can't-miss destination for both tourists and local shoppers seeking premium brands. Easy access to I-25 and beautiful scenery help draw more than 4 million customers each year.

The Barn Antique and Specialty Shops is another Castle Rock retail mainstay. The Barn is an eclectic collection of more than 20 shopping spaces inside a 105-year-old‚ two-story barn at Third and Perry streets in the historic downtown district. A must for tourists and residents alike, The Barn offers antiques, gifts, art, clothing, collectibles and more.

Also located downtown, Irresistibles offers women’s clothing and accessories, such as handbags, jewelry, scarves and belts, and hosts special events nearly every month, including spring and fall extravaganzas, semiannual clearance sales in January and July and jewelry events.

The downtown area is being revitalized in order to add to the success of current business while also attracting new ones. The Castle Rock Downtown Development Authority is working to enhance the area by financing public improvements and providing opportunities for businesses looking to open downtown.  

Manufacturing in Castle Rock
Castle Rock is also home to several manufacturing companies that provide jobs and services to many area residents. Acme Brick Company is a national brick manufacturer with locations in 10 states. The Colorado office, located in Castle Rock on Prairie Hawk Drive, employs approximately 80 workers in the sales and manufacturing sectors.

Founded in 1976, Master Magnetics manufactures and distributes magnets and magnetic devices nationally for commercial, industrial and consumer use. The company introduced more than 20 new products in 2010 and employs approximately 70 workers at its Castle Rock corporate headquarters on South Gilbert Street.

For more than 17 years, New World Millworks has worked with general contractors to provide architectural woodwork for commercial projects. The 100,000-square-foot Castle Rock plant employs approximately 90 people. Services include design, assembly and installation of custom millwork for businesses such as resorts, medical establishments and restaurants.

Sunset Stone is one of the oldest manufacturers of cast stone veneer in the country. Since 1970, the company has been providing quality products for use in residential, commercial, landscaping, and signage applications.
