Step back in time at the Boulder History Museum. Founded in 1944, the museum works to provide engaging educational experiences for people to explore the continuing history of the region. Boulder area families have contributed to the museum’s collection of over 35,000 historically significant objects, making this an interesting destination for both the history buff and novice alike.

Displays in the museum are rotated several time each year so there’s always something new to see. The museum recognizes the importance of historical education and offers lectures, programs and workshops for all ages. This commitment to education extends outside the museum with the History to Go program in which staff members bring the excitement of the museum to the classrooms of local Boulder schools.

Visitors can explore Boulder’s history Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 4 p.m. Adult admission is $6 and seniors are admitted for $4. Children and students can browse through the exhibits for just $3, with museum members and children under 5 years old enjoying free admission.
