Columbus, MS

One of the South’s richest architectural communities, Columbus, Miss. is known for its graceful antebellum homes including the boyhood home of prolific playwright Tennessee Williams, born here in 1911. Thousands of retirees from Columbus Air Force Base continue to make this area home, and the community has an award-winning school system that includes East Mississippi Community College and the Mississippi University for Women.
