Antiques and Art Galleries

Duluth is home to Father Time, the largest antique mall in Northern Minnesota. About 80 dealers present a wide selection of goods that includes estate items and furniture.

Shoppers who are on the hunt for artwork should peruse the contemporary galleries. Blue Lake Gallery features photography, visual art, sculptures and locally made crafts, and Silverston Gallery showcases native Canadian and Alaskan folk art.

Shopping Centers

The DeWitt-Seitz Marketplace is on Duluth’s waterfront and in Canal Park. Built in 1909 to serve as a furniture warehouse, the DeWitt-Seitz Marketplace is now a one-stop shop for great stores and restaurants. Not only is it a great place to shop, but it is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Another refurbished historical spot, the Fitger's Brewery Complex is filled with boutiques and restaurants. A true shopping destination, the former brewery is home to Duluth’s Historic Lakefront Hotel. The complex is fully accessible from the Lakewalk, and it provides a weekend worth of activity: retail therapy, relaxation at the Shear Katz spa, and meals at one of Duluth’s best restaurants, Fitger’s Brewhouse Brewery and Grille.

Miller Hill Mall

No city with a university could survive without a mall. Thankfully, Duluth has Miller Hill Mall, a labyrinth of well-known retailers such as Coldwater Creek and Abercrombie & Fitch.
