Golf Courses of El Paso

Golf courses in El Paso receive national accolades and offer a variety of choices.

Butterfield Trail Golf Club combines the historic Butterfield Overland Mail Company’s route (you can see remnants of the trail along hole #8) with the modern architectural course design of Tom Fazio.

This par-72 desert oasis with its Dominant Plus Bent grass greens combined with sand dunes and native flora and fauna earned the No. 1 ranking among Texas courses in Golfweek’s 2013 Best Courses You can Play – Butterfield Trail’s fifth consecutive appearance on the list. Golfweek has also named Butterfield one of the top municipal courses in the United States. Not too far off the beaten path, it is a “long iron shot away” from El Paso Airport.

Also minutes from the airport is Lone Star Golf Club, where lighted greens allow for extended hours of play. Enjoy a country club atmosphere at public course prices, with traditional, tree-lined fairways designed by Marvin Ferguson. Onsite certified club fitters offer the latest technology to help you get the best out of your clubs.

Carved out of the Chihuahuan Desert, Painted Dunes Desert Golf Course offers 27 holes on east, west and north courses that sit in the foothills of the Franklin Mountains. Designed by Ken Dye and Jeffrey Brauer, the course has earned accolades from Golf Digest, Texas Golfer and the United States Golf Association.
