Eugene’s many museums, galleries and a full schedule of music, dance and theater performances allow residents and visitors to nurture their creative sides as well as their active sides.
Every Saturday from April through November Eugene's Saturday Market shows off the talents of dozens of vendors. Original artwork, hand-crafted jewelry, books and rustic country cooking are just a few of the booths visitors can expect to enjoy during their stroll through the market. A different live band plays every weekend on the Market Stage to entertain shoppers.
Culture and art are distinctive parts of the city that can be seen, felt and heard at the Hult Center for Performing Arts and the University of Oregon's Museum of Natural and Cultural History. The Hult Center exhibits music and dance from the Eugene Ballet Company and Eugene Symphony.
Willamette Valley's wine industry is one of the counties fastest growing sectors of the local economy. The state of Oregon has more than 400 wineries with close to two dozen of them being in the Eugene area. One of the most popular is the King Estate Winery, a beautiful vineyard and farm where visitors can experience delicious wines over a meal of fully organic fruits and veggies grown on site.
