Offering a strategic central location, a highly educated workforce, great business incentives, an ever-growing financial services industry and excellent quality of life, Williamson County has a proven track record of attracting regional, national and international corporate headquarters and major manufacturers.

Corporate Headquarters

Nissan North America tops the list of corporate headquarters in Williamson County. The automotive manufacturer has 1,300 employees at its Franklin office, including designers and engineers for the company's product lines. Additional corporate headquarters include Verizon Wireless, Lee Company, Mars Petcare, Jackson National Life Insurance, Ozburn-Hessey Logistics, Tractor Supply Co., Comdata and The Lampo Group. 

Health Care Hot Spot

The Nashville region is globally known as a health care hub, and several health care companies have a presence in Williamson County. Local leaders in this growing industry include Community Health Systems, one of the largest overseers of hospitals in the U.S., HealthSpring, UnitedHealth Group, MedSolutions, Healthways, Optum, Parallon Business Solutions, Medhost, Brookdale Senior Living and Medical Reimbursements of America.

Technology

Several of Williamson County's large health-care industry employers are focused on the technological aspects of that sector, including Optum, Passport Health Communications and M*Modal. Many other tech companies have set up in Williamson County, among them Video Gaming Technologies, Aspect Software/Quilogy, TS3, UL PureSafety and Wipro Gallagher Solutions.

Manufacturing

Williamson County's central location and proximity to major U.S. markets makes it a prime target for manufacturers. With more than 350 employees, Lasko Metal Products is the largest manufacturer in Williamson County. The company produces fans, humidifiers and heaters. Apcom, a maker of drain valves, heating elements and thermostats for water heaters, employs about 250 people. Essex Group, a global leader in the design and manufacturing of wire and cable products has 200 employees.

CoolSprings Galleria

The 1-million-square-foot shopping complex is one of the biggest and most successful retail centers in the Southeast – and the largest annual tax generator for Williamson County. It remains a huge draw, with 13 million annual visitors and yearly sales topping $400 million. CoolSprings Galleria has five anchor stores and an additional 150 specialty stores and restaurants. The Galleria has 3,500 employees.
