Hot Springs, AR Don't-Miss Attraction: Bathhouse Row
Water draws folks from all over the world to Hot Springs, so it’s fitting that Bathhouse Row is one of the city’s best attractions. Located in a section of Central Avenue in Downtown, the area includes more than 15 salons and spas.
Visit the Fordyce Bathhouse, which now serves as the Hot Springs National Park visitor center. One of the oldest and most beautiful bathhouses in the city, this three-floor facility, which included massage rooms and even a bowling alley, originally operated between 1915 and 1962. Be sure to check out the ceramic fountain at the end of the marble and stained glass Fordyce lobby.
The Buckstaff Bathhouse is one of the few remaining traditional spas on the avenue still in operation. Built in 1912, it has served guests without interruption for 100 years and offers traditional spa treatments. Guests are encouraged to enjoy baths in the pure mineral waters that make Hot Springs famous, as well as enjoy Swedish massages.
Another Bathhouse Row stop is the Springs Hotel and Spa. The Springs Hotel and Spa is open 24-hours and their spa offers massages and mineral water baths.
