Hot Springs, AR Public and Private Schools Overview
The Hot Springs area is home to a number of award-winning schools and districts.
Hot Springs School District
While providing services to roughly 3,600 students, the Hot Springs School District is also the recipient of the 2010 NCEA Higher Performing School and the 2009 Nationally Recognized School of Excellence awards. The district encompasses seven different schools, including a traditional intermediate, middle and high school, as well as four magnet schools.
Lakeside School District
Lakeside High School was named an Outstanding High School in Arkansas. The district manages five public schools in the area and serves 3,000-plus students annually.
Cutter-Morning Star Public Schools
Cutter-Morning Star Public Schools includes an elementary and high school, with a total of roughly 650 students. Both schools are located east of Hot Springs.
Lake Hamilton School District
This district is home to one of America’s best high schools according to Newsweek, Lake Hamilton High School. Lake Hamilton School District was also voted the number one school district in Arkansas in 2010. The district manages six schools and is west of downtown.
Fountain Lake School District
Serving roughly 1,200 students, Fountain Lake School District includes elementary, middle and high schools and is located north of downtown.
Private Schools
Hot Springs has 35 private school including parochial and daycare facilities. Some of the area’s top-rated private schools, according to greatschools.org, include Christian Ministries Academy and Gospel Light Baptist School.
