Bevill State Community College Educates Jasper, AL and Surrounding Communities
Serving seven counties, Alabama's Bevill State Community College offers campuses in Fayette, Hamilton, Jasper and Sumiton, as well as an instructional site at the Pickens County Educational Center.
The college was formed in 1992, when Walker State Technical College and Brewer State Junior College came together. In 1993, BSCC acquired the Hamilton Campus of Northwest Alabama Community College, and the school absorbed UAB/Walker College in 1998.

Jasper-Walker County, AL Real Estate Market Is Steady
While the national home-building and real estate-selling market remains slow, Carol Alexander says the market in Jasper-Walker County remains steady.

Jasper's Walker Baptist Medical Center Ranked in U.S. News "Best Hospitals" List
The doctors will see you now at Walker Baptist Medical Center, the only hospital serving the residents of Walker County and surrounding communities.
The hospital in Jasper has 267 beds and more than 600 employees, making Walker Baptist one of the county's largest employers. It joined the Baptist Health System in 1995 and was the first hospital built in Alabama with all private rooms. The medical facility serves an area covering Walker, Fayette, Marion and Winston counties.
