The program lasts an average of 36 sessions and meets every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Established in 1911, Caswell Developmental Center in Kinston provides residential treatment and support services to people with mental retardation in the eastern part of the state. The 300-acre campus has more than 100 buildings and is an agency of the Department of Health and Human Services in the Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse Services.
