One of the growing institutes of learning in this region is Bluegrass Community and Technical College, which has grown from 200 students in 2002 at its Danville campus to more than 1,800 students today.
The Boyle County School District, a top 20 school district in Kentucky, includes Junction City, Perryville and Woodlawn elementary schools, as well as Boyle County Middle and High School. Since the school’s founding in 1823 as the first state-supported school of its kind‚ the Kentucky School for the Deaf has been a model institution for the education of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
