Why play 18 holes when you can play 21?

Pecan Trails Golf Course, a public course in Midlothian, offers golfers an extra three holes for the price of 18. Expect to pay about a buck a hole. And while the price is cheap Pecan Trails is a quality course that challenges even the best swingers. Pecan Trails lives up to its name by weaving through an old grove of pecan trees, with water coming into play on every hole. From the tips, the 6,028-yard layout plays to a par 80 and features nine par 4s, eight par 3s, and four par 5s.

Just north of Midlothian are two other great courses. Mansfield National Golf Club features the Mansfield course, 6,850 yards of golf from the pro tees for a par 72. It was designed by John Colligan and has been open since 2000. The Oak course at Walunt Country Club, also in Mansfiled, is a par 71 course with 6,751 yards of golf from the longest tees. The Country Club has been open since 1991.
