Cruise-In Classic Car Show Attracts Auto Enthusiasts

Mooresville steps back in time the first Saturday of each month‚ when the Cruise-In Classic Car Show attracts hundreds of classic automobiles down­town for an evening of family fun. Spectators‚ sometimes as many as 3‚000‚ might see a rare 1933 Buick sedan along with the restored Cadillacs‚ Chevrolets and other well-kept classics from the last century. Mooresville is not your average slow‚ Southern town. Its official nickname is Race City USA‚ with more than 500‚000 stock car fans rumbling into town each year. Many of the dozens of NASCAR motorsports-related shops in Mooresville offer tours‚ and more than 200‚000 people a year visit the North Carolina Auto Racing Hall of Fame just off Interstate 77.
