If you’re looking for your morning caffeine fix, the enticing smells of fresh roasted coffee will draw you into Muddy Waters Coffeehouse. Since opening in 2000, the award-winning baristas at Muddy Waters have expertly prepared all types of coffee drinks, including lattes, cappuccinos, espressos and much more.

And if the coffee drinks aren’t enough to lure you, the freshly baked pastries will. The smells of just-out-of-the-oven goodies like blueberry scones, biscotti and quiche fill the air, not to mention unique treats like sweet butterscotch brownies topped with homemade caramel, pretzels or savory roasted vegetable and provolone turnovers. Any given day a basket of fresh fruit from SoHo Organic Market may be transformed into a culinary delight, like a plum ginger tart.

Muddy Waters also serves a variety of teas and fruit smoothies made from 100 percent real fruit and no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. When it’s hot outside, other refreshing frozen specialties, such as white zombies, blondies, turtles and liquid brownies, are very popular items for customers to order.

Temptations like these and great service are just two of the reasons Muddy Waters customers keep coming back.

“We are the original coffeehouse for our area and are now sourcing and roasting our own beans in the garage," says owner Audra Marx. "We're still here and, it seems, more popular than ever. We like to be your living room away from home.”

Muddy Waters Coffeehouse is located at 100 West Main St. and is open seven days a week.
