Salem Street Historic District
This scenic 1 1/2-block neighborhood in Thomasville has 10 decades represented, with houses constructed from the early 1860s to the late 1950s. The architectural detail is especially rich with home styles that include Queen Anne, Victorian and Colonial Revival.
Lexington Residential Historic District
This neighborhood is located one block northwest of the commercial heart of downtown Lexington and includes the earliest residential sections of town. Most of the houses were built in the late 19th century and feature a variety of architectural styles such as Colonial, Grecian and Mediterranean Revival.
High Rock Lake
This 15,000-square-foot lake is quickly becoming a sought-after permanent address, complete with mountain views, lakefront panoramas, wildlife sightings and bass fishing. Houses in High Rock Lake start in the $150,000 range and escalate to upscale homes in gated communities. There are also elaborate lakefront mansions in the million-dollar range.

Many people have heard of Davidson County's larger cities of Lexington and Thomasville, but there are several other communities here that offer a comfortable quality of life. Those sections of Davidson County with nice neighborhoods and subdivisions include the cities of Denton, Midway and Wallburg, as well as unincorporated communities such as Cedar Grove, Erlanger, Gum Tree, Jubilee, Silver Hill and Welcome.
