Oshkosh sits on the western shore of Lake Winnebago, the largest freshwater lake within a U.S. state, and is banked by the Fox River and Lake Butte des Morts. The city is home of the Experimental Aircraft Association, and BusinessWeek ranked Oshkosh as a Best Place to Raise Your Kids in its 2010 survey of cities.
