Breeden's Orchard & Country Store in Mt. Juliet is a great place to celebrate the fall season, also known as apple pickin' time. Adults and children can pick Golden Delicious apples right off the trees, and there are also plenty of other varieties already picked for sale, including Red Delicious, Granny Smith, Winesap, Fuji, Jonathan and Arkansas Black. Treats in the country store also include: fresh apple cider and peach cider, apple slushies, peach slushies, apple butter, jams, jellies, relishes, honey, syrups, sorghum, molasses, chow chow, mulling spices, dips, mustards, soups, salsa and salad dressings and more. The store also has a bakery where customers can buy fresh fried pies or sugar-free fried pies during the fall months. The apple orchard is open early September to mid-November to pick.
