Situated in the lush greenery of Cooters Pond Park, Prattville's Dog Park is a great spot for pets and owners to socialize. Cooters Pond is perhaps better known as a fisherman's playground, but its 2.5-acre grassy enclosure is a hound haven. Outside the fence there are picnic areas where owners can vicariously enjoy their giddy dogs' playtime. Like to curl up with your pet and a good movie? In association with the Prattville-Autauga Humane Society, Cooters Pond plays host to the annual Bark in the Park where contests for best costume, dog/owner look-alike and vending stalls from local pet businesses will be available.
