The Hunt Is On for Great Bargains at Ridgeland's Northpark Mall and Other Retail Centers
Hunting season begins in November at Ridgeland's Northpark Mall when thousands of shoppers descend on the mall in hunt for great bargains. Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving Day, shoppers flock to the mall even before the roosters crow. In fact, some customers arrive even before the sales staff does. The mall’s anchor retailers, J.C. Penny, Belk and Dillard’s, along with dozens of other retailers, keep customers coming back after the holiday season.
The mall is nearly busting at the seams with shopping opportunities. The mall, on County Line Road in Ridgeland, has been a centerpiece of the community since 1984 and features Italian marble flooring and soaring columns.
In the past few years, the mall has added several upscale retailers but some of the mall’s popular shops include the Build-A-Bear Workshop; Williams-Sonoma; Ann Taylor; Banana Republic; Abercrombie & Fitch; Godiva Chocolatier; Coldwater Creek and Charlotte Russe.
Northpark Mall is just one of the shopping/dining center attracting visitors to Ridgeland. Renaissance at Colony Park, a $230 million development, hosts several upscale shops and restaurants, including Lemon Meringue, Vintage Wine Market, White House Black Market and Anthropologie. Trace Station, a 50,000-square foot lifestyle center on U.S. Highway 51 and Jackson Street, features upscale women’s boutiques, a fitness center and restaurants in the heart of Ridgeland.
