About Roanoke Rapids, NC

Roanoke Rapids is in northeastern North Carolina, close to the Virginia border. The city has a number of historical sites including Historic Halifax, which was the site of the Fourth Provincial Congress. Roanoke Rapids also has plenty of outdoor activities and attractions, but the county's biggest claim to fame is Sylvan Heights Waterfowl Park, which has the world’s largest collection of rare and endangered waterfowl.
