Sweetwater County locals are sure to find something pleasing to their palates among the area's diverse sampling of restaurants, whether they are craving a taste of Americana or foreign flavors.

Burgers, Tradition and More

Longtime establishments such as Grub's Drive In and Remedies Grill and Fountain continue to satisfy customers by serving up platters of tradition. Grub's has been in business since 1946 and is best known for its Shamrock burger. Made with two homemade patties topped with Velveeta cheese, it is cooked to order on a flattop grill and served up with mustard, pickle and onions. Most regulars order it with a side of fries smothered in gravy.

Remedies has been in the back of Bi-Rite Drug since the mid-1950s, and is in its second generation of family ownership. Brothers John and Mark Piaia say they have their own special burger offering, which diners usually order with their beer-battered fries and homemade fry sauce. Other local favorites for a burger and fries include Arctic Circle and Broadway Burger Station.

International Fare

International restaurants are also abundant in Sweetwater. The Nine Iron Grill, a former steakhouse-turned-Italian grill, is a local favorite for its mastery of authentic Italian food. Diners can continue to traverse the continents with cuisine from Chopstix, a top spot for sushi. Don Pedro Mexican Family Restaurant and Los Cabos Mexican Grill and Cantina combine traditional Mexican flavors with a family environment to provide the optimal dining experience.

Steakhouses

Hungry carnivores can traipse over to Coyote Creek Steakhouse and Saloon to sink their teeth into a variety of delicious steaks. Bitter Creek Brewing Company treats customers' tastebuds with its diverse offerings of locally crafted beer and food.

Farmers Markets

Locals looking to stock their refrigerators with the freshest produce know to go to the Rock Springs Farmer's Market and the Green River Farmer's Market. Both feature a variety of vendors who help bring the taste of the garden to the table with an assortment of homegrown goods for purchase.
