Downtown Anderson is buzzing. And maybe some of the credit goes to the number of cafes and coffee shops brewing some tasty beverages. At Our Daily Grind, people can drink chai lattes and grab a steak biscuit to go. Over at eCity Java, the yellow lighting bolt on the sign should give some hint as to how you’ll feel after a few sips of the Electric City Surge – four shots of espresso in a 12-oz. cup. Not-so-sleepy souls can opt for a ristretto, a less-jolting espresso shot.
Deciding how you spend your free time in Anderson is no easy task. The breadth and depth of its cultural climate runs the gamut from pottery to performing arts and everywhere in between. The city sure is “hooked on the arts,” sponsoring an initiative of that name to promote public art. Visitors will catch glimpses of largemouth bass sculptures all over town, thanks to the “Fish Out of Water” project put into action by the Anderson County Arts Center.
