The Bozeman Trail Inn Near Sheridan boasts Wyoming's Oldest Bar
Since 1882, the Bozeman Trail Inn in Big Horn has operated as the Sheridan area’s premier watering hole.
Inside, customers can enjoy top-shelf alcohol and a beer selection that changes with the season. The tin-roofed, wood-slatted building contains a fireplace and a pool table and seats 176 customers inside. Another 80 can sit outside during the summer, making the bar ideal for gatherings large and small.
“We have a broad range of customers,” says owner Clint Sheperd. “The ambience here is great.”
The steakhouse and bar combine to create the perfect place for a weekend night out. The restaurant serves beef, seafood, chicken and pasta.
And thanks to a half-million-dollar renovation completed in 2006, the historic business has a fresh look and feel.
“The building has been beautifully restored,” Sheperd says. “It’s really pretty cool.”
