Public Schools

Students in Lebanon are served by both Wilson County and the Lebanon Special Schools District.

The Lebanon Special Schools District educates students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Six elementary and middle schools make up the district.

Once in high school, students attend Lebanon High School, part of the Wilson County School District. This district has well respected schools and received an eight out of 10 from Great Schools because of test scores.

Private Schools

Lebanon is home to two private schools, Friendship Christian School and McClain Christian Academy. Both schools are pre- kindergarten to 12th grade as well as nondenominational Christian schools.

Friendship Christian is a college preparatory school that boasts all students being accepted to a four-year institution of higher learning. More than half of middle and high school students are athletes and take part in school sports, and Friendship has strong programs in football, softball and baseball.

A part of Lebanon for almost 50 years, McClain Christian has small class sizes and high ACT scores. The school has a college preparatory program that is partnered with Cumberland University, which allows students to attend college-level classes and gain an unlimited quantity of transferable college credit.
