Main Street Grill is a museum just as much as it is a soda fountain and restaurant.

All the typical old-time soda fountain treats are available at the retro-styled eatery, including banana splits, chocolate shakes and hot fudge sundaes. There are also display cases packed full of vintage radios, telephones, kitchenware and writing implements.

One of the most popular displays is the Bill Haley exhibit. The famed rock 'n' roller, best known for his band Bill Haley and His Comets and their tune "Rock Around the Clock," spent his retirement years in Harlingen.

The restaurant is located in downtown Harlingen at 105 W. Jackson St. and may be reached at (956)365-4770.
