Gary Carter has strung together millions of words while working in all facets of marketing, branding, advertising, public relations and web development. He has spent time on both the corporate and agency sides, including working in a variety of creative and management roles for several marketing, advertising and communications firms.
In addition, Carter is a former journalist who continues to write for various print and online publications on a wide range of topics such as travel and tourism, real estate development, sustainability and golf. He is the author of Eliot’s Tale, a reverse coming-of-age road trip novel that contemplates things done and left undone, and also publishes short fiction, poetry and essays. His work has appeared recently in Dead Mule, Burnt Bridge, Muscadine Lines, Read Short Fiction and Dew on the Kudzu. Carter is based in Asheville, N.C.
