Dean McGraw, owner and chef of Muffin Man Bakery and Cafe fulfilled his lifelong dream after he retired from teaching by opening this downtown Abingdon bakery. Muffin Man is within walking distance of antique shops and many historical attractions.

Zazzy'z Coffee House and Bookseller touts coffee that “hasn’t been roasted within an inch of its life.” Single origin and house signature blends of coffee beans are freshly roasted on site. The owners are certified Astoria technicians, which means they know their espresso. Live music and spoken word performers are featured three nights a week.

Zazzy’z coffee is also featured at Babycakes Cupcakery, which features everyday cupcake flavors such as Almond Joy, Salted Caramel and Chocolate Ganache. Unique flavors such as Elvis and Chai Spice are featured in the Daily Special menus. Babycakes also cooks up breakfast and lunch.

Enjoy gourmet breakfast, lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch in a Victorian-era farmstead built in 1896 at Wild Flour Bakery and Gallery. Works of local artists are featured in the gallery. An assortment of fresh-baked treats at the front counter, where customers pay their tab, is hard to pass up. It's like they planned it that way.

Bean Werks Coffee & Tea, an outpost of the Asheville, North Carolina-based artisan roasters, sells coffee beans guaranteed to be grown on socially and environmentally responsible plantations.
