Old Town It’s no surprise that Old Town has good grub. A 2012 Top 10 Downtown, the area’s streets are lined with bars and upscale restaurants, as well as sandwich shops and other eateries. While the sun still shines, locals and visitors stop by the Perfect Pita to get the fatteh bel hommos, or they head east to Momo Sushi & Cafe for a yellowtail roll.

Alexandria’s Christ Church has been standing since before the Revolutionary War. The colonial Georgian style church was designed by John Wren and completed in 1773 by John Carlyle.
