Wausau Boasts Two Frank Lloyd Wright Homes

Several homes in Wausau can be found on national historic lists, and two homes were even designed by the renowned Frank Lloyd Wright. The Charles and Dorothy Manson House on Highland Park Boulevard was designed by the famed architect in 1938 and features strong horizontal lines and three descending levels. Grand Theater Plays Key Role in Downtown ARTSblock

It’s name says it all – Grand Theater. The Grand began theatrical performances in 1927 and today is a prominent part of Wausau’s downtown ARTSblock. The building is known for its architectural grandeur, including massive arches and fluted columns accented with gold. Besides Broadway shows and musical performances, the Grand is available for films, community events, business conferences and weddings. Visit NASCAR Great Marcis's Camp 28 Bunkhouse, Cook Shanty and Saloon

Former NASCAR driver Dave Marcis has parked his car and opened a bar. Camp 28 Bunkhouse, Cook Shanty and Saloon is a year-round resort in the Rib Lake area that is owned by Marcis and his wife, Helen. The roomy camp, restaurant and bar welcomes a large number of snowmobilers, bikers, hunters, fishermen and hikers, and there is also a banquet facility that can host up to 200 people.
