Science Zone in Casper, WY, Offers a World of Education

May 9, 2011 at 7:20 pm EST

The Science Zone in Casper, WY  provides informal science education for kids of all ages or even just kids at heart.

This educational museum was launched through Casper City Council’s program, Casper’s Vision 2000. The Science Zone now meets the city’s needs for a hands-on experience where kids and adults can expand their knowledge of science, math, and technology that’s affordable too.

The hours of fun and entertainment cleverly mask how much the kids are learning. Spend the day studying physics by making gigantic bubbles in the Bubble Zone, better understanding geology by feeling the texture of different minerals or seeing how any of the reptiles, amphibians, or arachnids live in the Zone Zoo.

The Science Zone’s informal approach to education means there is nothing in this museum off limits to touching. Visitors are encouraged to experience every demonstration firsthand.

Families can take advantage of the museum's Family Membership package. For one year everyone in the household has unlimited free admission to the Science Zone as well as over 300 museums worldwide because it is a member of the Association of Science and Technology Centers.
