It's fun here in Campbell County, where many indoor and outdoor adventures await residents and visitors.
CAM-PLEX Multi-Events Facilities introduced a new management team in 2013: Sandra Bott is marketing manager.
“For the big picture, we're looking to eventually book an annual event at CAM-PLEX that will put our entire community on the map, like the motorcycle rally in Sturgis (S.D.) and Frontier Days in Cheyenne,” Bott says. “So in the future when people hear Gillette, they will think CAM-PLEX.”
The huge entertainment destination spans 1,100 acres and has five indoor events venues, a stadium park, three barns and multiple campgrounds. At the east end of its Wyoming Center at CAM-PLEX is Spirit Hall Ice Arena, a full NHL-size rink for recreational skating, figure skating and hockey games.
“We have 1,100 acres of versatility for hosting local, regional and national events, and we're already becoming a concert destination and a top venue for rodeos,” Bott says. “Larry and I will continue to research and explore what kinds of major events we can add to the CAM-PLEX schedule.”
