Miss Myra’s Pit Bar-B-Q
Part of Birmingham’s culinary landscape for about 30 years, Miss Myra’s is a barbeque institution full of photos of famed University of Alabama football coach Bear Bryant.
But it’s the food that keeps locals coming back, and even national outlets such as the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times have touted Miss Myra’s barbecue as some of the area’s best. The ribs draw diners to form a line at lunch time, and the restaurant’s white sauce, a vinegar and mayonnaise concoction, is touted as delicious on chicken.

Diners also recommend the restaurant's extensive wine list and saving room for dessert.
