Decatur Mall is the city’s only shopping mall. Well-known national retailers are located here including Sears and Maurices. Hungry shoppers can grab a bite at Guadalajara Grill, and kids are sure to enjoy Chuck E. Cheese’s. The mall also houses a carousel and Regal Cinema for extra entertainment.
The Decatur Public Library hosts events at the mall during the summer that include magic shows, science experiments and storytelling theater.
Historic Shopping District
Historic district Old Decatur is a shopper’s dream. Boutiques and antique and specialty shops fill the district and are housed in architecturally historic buildings. From original art to accessories to antiques, you can find it all in Decatur’s Bank Street and 2nd Avenue.
One of the city’s favorite antique malls is located on Bank Street. Bank Street Antique Mall has been voted Best Antique Store in the Tennessee Valley in the Decatur Daily, and Alabama Magazine featured the mall in Best of Bama. Housed in a historic building, this antique mall measures 12,000-plus square feet and has more than 50 exclusive vendors showcasing merchandise from days gone by.
