Located just 15 minutes outside of Jasper, AL, in the city of Dora, Horse Creek Golf Course offers an 18-hole course with a par of 72 that comprises 6,883 yards and a driving range complete with 16 tees, as well as a small pro shop and a snack bar.
The municipal course, designed by Robert Kirk, opened in 2000. Its name is derived from the original name of the community in which it is located, which was Horse Creek in the year of 1884. The course is situated on a reclaimed strip mine and includes trees, both high and low elevation, water hazards and more, providing a challenge to each golfer. In addition, the course offers well-kept greens that consist of Bermuda grass.
Golfers enjoy reasonable rates when visiting Horse Creek Golf Course, as 18 holes costs $29 on weekdays and $39 on weekends during the summer, with both prices including a golf cart rental.
