Home to the Michigan State University, it’s no surprise that this city just east of the state capital ranks in the top 10 for educational attainment on our list. This college town makes it affordable for its high student population, ranking in the top 5 for food spending. East Lansing also has more than 20 unique neighborhoods, restaurants, bars and things to do that lend to its ranking in the top 20 for culture.
