UPDATE: Check out our new 2023 Best Cities to Live in the U.S. list.

#43. Norman

Home to the University of Oklahoma (hence a college town, hence a great place to live, hence lots of young, diverse talent), Norman has seen some great growth in the past few years, evidenced by its ranking in the top 10 on this list for growth in high wage jobs. It’s also in the top 20 for jobs, health care coverage and safety. Definitely not the most affordable (ranked 25th and 24th for food spending and housing), but the younger crowd keeps the prices down.
