Once you move here, feel free to call Tallahassee by her nickname, Tally. Located in the Florida Panhandle, this state capital has landed on Livability’s lists of the Best Cities for Entrepreneurs and Best Places to Get a Fresh Start thanks in part to its impressive economic growth. The city is thrumming with energy as home to Florida State University, Florida A&M University and Tallahassee Community College — which provide a pipeline of talented workers. A buzzy nightlife scene and 700 miles of trails in the area keep residents entertained. The area’s affordability is a draw, too, with the average home price under $180,000.
