With daytime temperatures averaging 80 degrees during the summer and only dipping to the mid-60s in the winter, Newport Beach is known for its beaches and ideal conditions for world-class surfing.

This southern California city has renowned tourist attractions like Balboa Pier and Newport Pier, and inland destinations include more than 400 restaurants as well as Fashion Island Mall and an Orange County Performing Arts Center that hosts Broadway plays and musicals.

The community’s largest employer is Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian (4,000 employees), and two of the biggest annual events are a Newport Beach Jazz Festival and a Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade, which dates back to 1908.
