Friendly neighborhoods and 19th-century buildings create a sense of charm of Essex Junction, Vt., a scenic community that includes the much lauded Essex Junction School District. IBM’s semiconductor plant employs many residents here. Essex Junction connects with Amtrak rail service allowing alternate transportation options. The city hosts an annual 10-day Champlain Valley Fair agricultural expo each summer.
