At the southern edge of the Mojave Desert is Apple Valley, a town with the San Bernardino Mountains also gracing its southern boundary. The Mojave River runs along Apple Valley and is one of only a few rivers in the world that flow magnetic north, and the community is known for its excellent schools, clean air and open spaces.
